The Missouri Department of Mental Health- An excellent way to keep up with what's going on in our state. Lots of good links.
The UMKC Institute for Human Development- Lots of information on developmental disabilities.
Diverse City Press- Publishing Dave Hingsburger and many other wonderful books, no DS library is complete without a few Diverse City Press titles!
The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals- A "must-bookmark" for all direct support who spend any time at all on the web. Good information and an excellent chat board strictly for direct support.
Cooking Made Easy- Eileen Laird is a former direct support person who has written a cookbook specifically for people with developmental disabilities. Her site will show you how to order one.
The Guided Tour- A special program that provides travel and vacation experiences for people with developmental and developmental & physical challeges.
